Description: Noctis is the only son born of a poor demon family. His mother and father died of scarlet fever when he was twelve. He also caught scarlet fever but managed to survive by using his inheritence to hire a maid, Francis Finette, to help him recover and take hold of his life. He eventually recovered and Francis assisted him in obtaining a job waiting at a local pub. He eventually decided that he wanted to break out of his life of poverty and became aware that keeping Francis around would cost him too much, so he failed to renew her contract. He soon realized he was unable to create his own fortune with his lack of nobility and estate, and quickly became aware that no demon and few humans would be willing to help him. Noctis has no choice but to seek a sponsor as his only hope to gain a fortune and redeem his family’s name.
